HISTORY
I'm Eric Zavesky, a co-founder of a AI product and services company, Fyve Labs, and an Advisor for AI at a consumer fintech investment, HScore. I'm also an Ex-Director of Inventive Science at AT&T in the Chief Data Office (CDO) in the Data Science and AI Research (DSAIR) group.
As an ever-curious researcher and supportive collaborator, I use machine learning and AI models based on user behavior to detect anomalous behaviors, find high precision marketing cohorts, and time saving generative AI systems.
As an avid inventorI have over 318 issued patents in the US as of early 2024.
TOPICAL INTERESTS
I have worked on diverse topics like generative AI content creation, interactive search systems, content analysis, no-code ML model construction, augmented reality product enhancement, ticket suppression, geospatial property overlaps, virtual assistants, and network planning.
To give back to the community, I created and hosted or co-hosted nine internal hackathon tracks and workshops during my time at AT&T. Each contained core material relevant to a larger problem and sought to boost domain knowledge of participants with best practices code and demonstrations for novices and pros alike.

Advice from a FarewellACADEMIC WORK
On December 18, 2009 I defended my dissertation in the department of Electrical Engineering at Columbia University in New York. There, I investigated multimedia indexing and interactive search for the Digital Video and Multimedia Lab under the advisement of Dean Shih-Fu Chang.
My thesis, "A Guided, Low-Latency, and Relevance Propagation Framework for Interactive Multimedia Search"focused on a new form of interaction for video and image search and culminated in the creation of a new system called CuZero (paper) as well as a series of patents.
